hublot_senna_mp06_king_goldThe watch makes the man. The man in this case is the late, and great Aryton Senna. Arguably the greatest Formula 1 driver of all time, his driving still inspires kids today, and this video will always be one of the most amazing visions of Monaco you can ever have. In a long standing relationship with the Senna family, the MP-06 Senna Act IV is the latest in the line of watches produced in honour of Aryton and celebrates his 41 victories, taking him to 3 World Formula 1 Championship titles.

Unveiled at the Hublot factory in Switzerland in the presence of the Senna family including sister Viviane and nephew Bruno, the Hublot MP-06 Act IV Collection comprises of three watches, and is claimed to be the most complicated watch in the Senna collection to date, comprising of 155 components. Available in King Gold (18K), Titanium, or black PVD Titanium, only 41 pieces of each will be made – again a reference to each and every victory. It features the HUB 9006 Manual-winding Skeleton Tourbillon Movement, showcased through the sapphire dial, and will give a 5 day power reserve. To note the relationship, the symbolic Senna ‘S” is featured on the left of the watch hands, with a second count at each increment instead of the more standard 1-12 count – a reference to the use of time on the track. A blackBlack perforated Schedoni leather strap finishes off the watch.

As with previous collections, a large part of the sales revenue will go directly to the family and will be used at the Instituto Ayrton Senna – a charity  to create opportunities for human development to children and young Brazilians, in cooperation with businesses, governments, municipalities, schools, universities and Non-Government organisations.
