Posted September 5, 2013 by in Tech

Samsung has just announced an exciting new product to make communication on the go even easier. Galaxy Gear has been crafted with the goal of being stylish and technologically exciting. Designed to be wearable, Galaxy Gear takes the form of a simple looking wristwatch – but it is far from simple.

Samsung created Galaxy Gear in response to public demand for easier smart device technology.  It notifies users of incoming calls, texts, emails and alerts – creating a preview of the messages that you can either open up or ignore. This cool device also features a built in speaker to allow for hands-free calls.  You can also draft messages, create new calendar entries, set alarms and check the weather using the Galaxy Gear S Voice.

The Galaxy Gear also has some other neat features.  The Auto Lock will secure your smart phone whenever your Galaxy Gear is more than 1.5 meters away, foiling any mean person that tries to steal your phone.  If you are notorious for misplacing your phone you can use the Find my Device function which will make your phone light up, beep and vibrate.  If you are a fan of music you can use the Galaxy Gear to control the music played on your Samsung Galaxy Devices.  The Memorgrapher feature has a 1.9 megapixel camera can record quick pictures or videos while you are on the go. And if you’re looking to get into shape, the GG can also act as a pedometer to track your movements and keep you updated on how many calories you’ve burned.

This cool device is not only handy, but it is stylish and comfortable too.  If you don’t like the standard watch face you can personalize it to meet your style requirements. The gear already comes with 10 different clock options with more available for download from the website. It will also come in six different colours when it launches: Jet Black, Mocha Gray, Wild Orange, Oatmeal Beige, Rose Gold, and Lime Green.
